ECOSTRESS Science and Applications Team Meeting - Dec 2020

The ECOSTRESS Science and Application Team meeting will be virtual for this fall. There will be a one day of status and presentations between 8:00am - 4:00pm Pacific Time on December 1, 2020.

This is a critical meeting for the ECOSTRESS science and applications community because of two key updates that Dr. Hook recently shared:

  1. Another payload has requested our site on the ISS in late 2021 – if this happens, this would result in decommissioning ECOSTRESS and a gap in high spatiotemporal multispectral thermal measurements
  2. Concurrently, ECOSTRESS has been rated Excellent in the Earth Science Senior Review, which is a process NASA uses to determine extensions for missions.

This meeting is an important and critical opportunity to show how our community is contributing to (2) and to express how (1) will impact your work and Earth science / applications advancements, especially given delays arising during this COVID period.
